Time to stop mucking around with this blogging thing. Nice lady in the CRCW office in London suggested this would be a great way to keep people up to date with what we are doing in various parts of the country. There aren’t many CRCWs in the country and I think it’s a really good idea to keep everyone updated. Well, it’s a really good idea until I come to the practicalities of actually blogging on a regular basis. If you’ve seen any of my other page (RSMLittle green gem) its mostly about the insulating of the church hall – and how much difference it has made to the people who use it.
This one is different. I plan for this blog to be about ALL of my work – and sometimes what I think about it (though that’s usually fairly irrelevant). I plan to update it every month (HA! we’ll see how that pans out!) and write a little bit about something interesting.
This month I have been preparing to be a DJ for a golden oldies disco. Working out a playlist from the 50s 60s and 70s that everyone will enjoy – and the logistics of seating/feeding everyone and leaving space for dancing in our hall.
I’ve done DJ -ing before, years ago when I was a youth leader – so I kind of know what to do – though technology has moved on to the point where all I need is a computer and a sound system. I’m looking forward to it, it’s been a while – I’ll let you know how it goes!! and I promise there will be pictures – meanwhile, here is a lovely photo of the band who use our place as rehearsal space, they did a lovely concert for us back in February.
